Week 6
Horror, Shopkeeper
I create one of my mood boards by taking images of characters from the horror genre, and found that characters that where close to being human but slightly off from being human where the most unsettling, so I made a rule that my concepts had to have a human likeness.
For my second mood board I chose to take images of shop keepers and although the designs varied I decided to create a rule around the traditional shop keeper outfit, as I felt it would make my concepts more recognisable as them being shop keepers.
Rules:
1. They have to have a human likeness.
2. They must have something to wear over there outfit.
3. They must have blank eyes.

Week 4
Spaceship, Troll
I chose images of common depositions of trolls for my first mood board, as well as some that are regarded as trolls but have been designed differently, such as, the two in the bottom left, as I felt it would help me create a wide variety of designs. I made mood boards of space craft, as well as, other sci-fi scenes which I used to help me create my rules, such as them needing to have something to move around in space and how they had to be rough.
Rules:
1. They need something to help them move around in space.
2. They have to have a melee weapon.
3. They need to be rough. (i.e. scars, dirt marks et)

when I created my mood boards I took images of fairy tail characters along with images of leaders and found that most historical figures had expensive clothing and with Tudor era and some fantasy characters there was an overemphasize particular body type, there for I used them to help make my rules, such as, having expensive clothes and having a powerful/imposing figure.
Rules:
1. They must have expensive clothes.
2. They must be powerful/imposing figure.
3. They must have embellishments in there design. (i.e. jewellery)

Quickfire concepts - Underwater, Musician
In this project I created a mood board of various underwater scenes including brightly coloured fish and other sea animals, I also found giving sea creatures googly eyes adds character to them. however I decided to not use googly eyes for the final design. instead I decided to base my character on these three rules:
1 - The design must incorporate a method of breathing underwater.
2 - The design must use bright colours.
3 - The designs must not be overly complex.

Week 2
Steampunk, Witch.
I created two mood boards of various images of witch's and from the steampunk genre. I noticed they had reoccurring elements in both of them, and I use it to help me make my rules from which I created my concepts, such as the concepts having something mechanical.
Rules:
1. They must not have expensive clothes.
2. They must have something mechanical.
3. They must have a affinity with particular creature/animal.

Week 1
Horror, Shopkeeper.
I thought abut a wide variety of different horror models when colleting the images of my mood board. using the mood board I came up with three rules for my concept sketch's. I felt that I stuck to the rules and incorporated them into my design.
Concept Rules:
1. The character must have something that carries all of there stuff.
2. The character must have expensive clothes.
3. The character must have something about them that is non-human.
